About 2025 International Youth Art Contest and Exhibition:
Artwork Types
All two-dimensional artworks, including paintings in various media, oil, watercolor, sketches, etching, calligraphy, and block printing, are welcome.
Timeline
(1) Free Registration: North America Submission: Now through April 25, 2025.
Overseas Submission: Now through April 15, 2025.
(2) First-round submission: please submit your profile information and artwork in the section at the bottom of this page. You can have 1-5 pieces of artwork uploaded online.
(3) Second-round submission: A minimum of one original physical painting is required to be submitted in the second-round semi-final competition. Deadline for submissions is May 25, 2025. All original artworks must arrive at IAMA before 3 p.m., June 15, 2025.
(4) Exhibition of semi-finalists’ artworks: All second-round entries will be exhibited at the museum gallery from July 12 to July 20, 2025, for public viewing.
(5) Ceremony for presenting prizes, awards, and certificates will be held on July 13, 2025.
Awards
(1) All participants will be divided by age into four groups: 5-6, 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18.
(2) All second-round entries will be awarded with exhibition certificates.
(3) There will be one first-place winner in each age group, the winner will receive an award certificate and a cash prize of $300.
(4) There will be two second-place winners in each age group, each winner will receive an award certificate and a cash prize of $200.
(5) There will be three third-place winners in each age group, each winner will receive an award certificate and a cash prize of $100.
(6) 10 Honorary Mentions in each age group will receive Young Artist Awards.
Exhibition Fee
(1) No registration fee for initial online submission.
(2) Candidates entering the second-round, semi-final stage will submit minimum one and no more than five artworks for a one-week exhibition for public viewing. The exhibition fee is $110 per painting plus a shipping fee if the artworks are not self picked up.
Size Limit and Shipping and Handling Fee
(1) The maximum size of the artwork is 24” x 36” (60 cm x 90 cm). Oversize paintings will need to be reviewed and approved by the youth art contest committee. Additional handling fee may be assessed.
(2) Artwork in paper format doesn’t need to be framed. IAMA will provide frame rental and installation services (included in the registration fee).
(3) For shipping, candidates who live in North America and need the artwork(s) to be shipped back will be charged for $25 per painting. Candidates who live outside of North America and need the artwork(s) to be shipped back will be charged for $60 (paper) or $100 (Canva) per painting.
